 Degree courses includes a broad based study in Civil Engg. Subjects. The
activities of the Civil Engineers involve planning, analysis, designing,
construction & maintenance of variety of facilities such as building, high ways
& rail roads, water ways & canals, water treatment and sewage disposal system,
docks and harbors, bridges and tunnels. The Civil Engineer also deals with
critical problems of today such as construction off-shore structures for oil
production, flood control, increasing power production by the construction of
dams, power houses, etc.
Diploma is a course special suited for the rural areas. A Diploma holder
willing to work in the rural areas, will be immensely useful in the development
of rural area in all the branches in Civil Engineering such as Irrigation,
Roads, Village Planning and Reconstruction.
