 Padmabhooshan Vasantraodada Patil Institute of Technology, Budhgaon has been
established in the year September 1983. by late Shri. Padmabhooshan
Vasantraodada Patil (Ex. Chief Minister of Maharashtra State & Ex. Governor of
Rajasthan state). The College is located at Budhgaon about 10 km. from Sangli
city.

to become a leading institute in providing high quality technical &
engineering education to the aspirants and serve the industry and society
through excellent educational programmes, creativity and research.

 He was the leader of common people and the Father of
co-operative moment and Agro industrial society in Maharashtra. He is the
founder of Shetkari Sahakari Sakhar Karkhana Ltd. Sangli, Shetkari Sahakari
Bank, Vasantdada Market, Sangli Industrial Estate, Processing industries, Shetkari
Shikshan Mandal, Pad. Vasantraodada Patil Institute of Technology, Vasantdada
Pratishtan and many other societies. Other parts of Maharashtra also flourished
under his great noble and dynamic leadership. As The CHIEF MINISTER OF
MAHARASHTRA, he was very successful. As The GENERAL SECRETARY OF ALL INDIA
CONGRESS PARTY and then as GOVERNOR OF RAJASTHAN, he became a popular national
leader. For his distinguished career and selfless service of the society, he was
awarded "PADMABHUSHAN" by the Government of India and DOCTORATE Degree by Pune
University.
Hon Shri. Prakashbapu V Patil.
 As it is said that a Ray of Light can only guide you in darkness
so can be rightly said about a former chairman Late. Shri. Prakashbapu V Patil, a man,
rightly suited for the post both by brains and works carried out. He was ex M. P. for Sangli constituency and a famous social worker of
Maharashtra. He has been the ex-chairman of Maharashtra Rajya Sahakari Sakhar
Karkhana Sangh and many other Co-op. Societies. He was former chairman of Asia's
biggest sugar factory "Vasantdada Sahakari Sakhar Karkhana Ltd. Sangli"
our parent
firm. He also has the honor of Presidency as the Director, President and Member
of various Societies and Associations of Maharashtra. The depth of his knowledge
can be visualised by just knowing that he was the editor of the weekly: Vasant
Prakash Sahakar Parva, Sangli.
